Obituary of John Donald Gray
TRENTON – John Donald “Donnie” Gray, 61, Ivy’s Terrace Nursing Home, Trenton, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Pictou, he was a son of the late Fred Elmer and Jessie Winnifred (Davis) Gray. Prior to a debilitating injury, he was employed as a fisherman and with a sanitation company in Ontario. Donnie was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing.
Surviving are his loving partner, Debbie MacDonald, Trenton; daughter Brittany, New Brunswick; sons, Donald, Kingston, Ont.; John, New Brunswick; sisters, Dorothy Sutherland, Pictou; Geraldine (Harry) MacDonald, Scotch Hill; brother, Roy (Sue), Fort McMurray, Alta.; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Douglas (twin), Robert, Reg and James; siblings, Annabel and Billy in infancy.
The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Thursday, September 25th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Trenton.
