Obituary of George Winston Cameron

CHANCE HARBOUR – George Winston Cameron, 54, Chance Harbour, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Bruce and Alice (Fraser) Cameron. He had been employed at Trenton Works, Sandblasting Department for a number of years. He was a member of First United Church, Trenton. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and being surrounded by family and friends. Surviving are daughters, Donna Cameron, Amanda (Steven) MacKaracher, Trenton; sons, Winston Cameron (Lisa), Calgary, Alberta; Kristopher Cameron, Chance Harbour; granddaughters, Brittany Cameron and Machayla Davison; fiancé, Janie MacKenzie, Landsdowne; sisters, Helen (Donnie) Murray, Sandra (Ed) MacMillan, Trenton; Priscilla “Diddy” (Russell) Phalen, Springhill; brothers, Duncan Cameron, Trenton; Art Cameron, Walter Cameron (Phyllis), Chance Harbour; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Church, Trenton with Rev. Debra Orton officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
