TELFORD – Thomas Junior Glanman, 88, Telford, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 23, 2021 at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Guilford, Illinois, he was a son of the late Thomas Felix and Myrtle Glendora (Brodrecht) Glanman. Thomas was a Red Seal Pipe Fitter and was a member of UA Local 244 and Chicago Pipefitters Local 597. He was a member of the former St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Thorburn. Thomas enjoyed his working career and in retirement, greatly enjoyed woodworking. He was most content outside working – he was never idle. Thomas was a Coronation Street fan, faithfully watching each episode on TV or online. His word was his bond, which he sealed with a handshake. Thomas’ memory will be cherished by those he loved. Surviving are his wife, Mary Catherine (Beaton) Glanman; children, Bill Glanman, Egerton; Margaret (Joel) Price, Westmount, Illinois; Ingrid Glanman, Telford; Sharon (Mark) Gliesmann, Hillside, Illinois; grandchildren, Bill, Christine, Joey, Cayleigh, Connor, Cera, Sherri, Allan, Loni, Ingrid, Benjamin, Margaret Rose; great-grandchildren, Christine and Colin; sister, Ingrid Muehleip, Galena, Illinois; brother, John (Cora) Glanman, Osakis, Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Greta Glidden, Arlene Brobeck and Jeanne Childs. A private graveside service will be held in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Thorburn.
