Obituary of Gary Craig Robson
LINACY – Gary Craig Robson, 54, Linacy formerly of Pine Tree, passed away, January 1, 2019, at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Margaret (Forsyth) Robson and the late George William Robson. Gary was a devoted Chicago Blackhawks and Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed playing poker. Retiring from Michelin Tire, Granton, in 2015, he found enjoyable employment, helping his son, Brad with numerous carpentry projects. Gary enjoyed life, especially during the summer months, boating with his buddies and BBQing. He dearly loved his grandchildren, seeking every opportunity to spend time with them. Gary enjoyed many sports and was especially fond of whatever sport his grandchildren were playing. He possessed a warm personality, he always opened conversation saying something funny with a sparkle in his eye. Gary’s kindness, willingness to help and deep appreciation for others will not be forgotten by his family and friends.
Surviving are his son, Brad (Dawn), Trenton; daughter Jillian (David), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Brody, Connor, Jenna and Owen; sisters, Helen Gallant, Chance Harbour; Beverley (Clair) Vardon, Calgary, Alta.; Joanne Robson, Pine Tree; brothers, Charlie (Nancy), Halifax; Norman (Helen), Pine Tree; Howard (Debbie), Merigomish; Paul (Rhonda), Gander, Nfld.; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Gary’s family will hold a Celebration of Life in the Linacy Fire Hall from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, January 6th, 2019.
Donations may be made in Gary’s memory to a charity of choice.
