NEW GLASGOW – David Reginald “Dave” Peters, 56, New Glasgow, formerly of Souris West, P.E.I., passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family, following an unfortunate accident. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., he was a son of Therese (MacCormack) Peters, Souris West and the late Joseph Peters. Survived by wife, Susan; daughters, Celia (Dan), Halifax; Jayne (Nic), Toronto, Ont.; son, Kieran, New Glasgow; mother, Therese; siblings, Alan (Sheila), Sheryll (Dan) Mullin, Tammy (Jason) Rice, all of Prince Edward Island; Greg (Sherry), Ottawa; mother-in-law, Camilla (late Melvin) MacPhee; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. David was a well-known businessman as owner of Ceilidh Honda and Power House, New Glasgow and Acura of Moncton, Dieppe, N.B. The family will receive visitors 2-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov 26th at P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow with a Celebration of Words at 6 p.m. On Friday, Nov 27th visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. at Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, P.E.I. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov 28th at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Souris with interment to follow in St. Columba Cemetery, Fairfield, P.E.I. No flowers please.
