WESTVILLE - Dorothy Josephine “Dot” Taylor, 89, Westville, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 16, 2013 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family. Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late John Alexander and Anne (Anderson) Campbell. Dorothy was a happy person who enjoyed her family and friends. She was a loving, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Surviving are daughter, Theresa (Jim) Palmer, Union Centre; granddaughters, Donna (Charles) MacDonald, Westville; Leta (A.J.) Jordan, Westville; sister, Theresa Trenholm, Sydney Mines; great-grandchildren, Krystal (Blair), Lacey (Dennis), Nicole(Ian), Allister (Jennifer) and Taylor (Harley). Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Taylor; companion, Alex MacLellan; daughter, Sally Rumley; sisters, Mary White and Jen Coll; brothers, Philip Campbell, Jack Campbell, Robert “Bob” Campbell, Hector Campbell and Steve Campbell. There will be no visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bailey’s Brook at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Dot’s memory to Glen Haven Manor.
