Obituary of Daniel Lewis Watson
SALEM – Daniel Lewis Watson, 57, Salem, formerly of Stellarton, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 26, 2014 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late L. Neil and M. Irene (Walsh) Watson. Daniel owned and operated D. W. Builders. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, hunting and trapping. Daniel was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Surviving are sons, Scott and his daughter, Yohanna, West Columbia, South Carolina; Ryan (Kim), New Glasgow; brother, Dale (Brenda), Valley; sisters, Virginia (Rev. Tim) Hunt, Windsor, Ont.; Ellen Watson, Stellarton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Darlene in infancy.
The family will receive visitors 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29 in the chapel with Rev. Keith Hazzard officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment will be in Gladstone Cemetery, Four Mile Brook at a later date.
