Obituary of Harold Ross

NEW GLASGOW – Harold Ross, 76, New Glasgow, formerly of Little Harbour, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was raised by foster parents, Charles and Christine Fraser. Harold was an adherent of Little Harbour Presbyterian Church. Prior to moving to Glen Haven Manor, he had resided for 15 years at the HCRS Group Home on Temperance Street, New Glasgow. Harold was a very sociable person, who loved being with people. He enjoyed trout fishing with his brother, Fred. Harold had fond memories of his neighbours in Little Harbour for the kindness they showed him. He was privileged to have had two wonderful foster brothers, Bill and Fred who nurtured and protected Harold throughout his life. Surviving are his foster brother, Fred (Gloria) Reid, Linacy, and their children and grandchildren; best friends, Gordon Brody and Bob Fogarty, New Glasgow. Besides his foster parents, he was predeceased by foster brother, Bill Fraser. The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Thursday Feb 19 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating. Spring interment will be in Church Brook Cemetery, Little Harbour.
