Obituary of Carl Heinz Gaab
BARNEY'S RIVER STATION - Carl Heinz Gaab, 77, Barney's River Station, passed away, Wednesday, April 88, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Germany, he was a son of the late Jacob George and Margueriet (Schader) Gaab. He had been employed at various jobs during his working life. Carl was an inventor, he enjoyed finding out how something would work and find new applications. He was a machinist and with his metal lathe, he could make "almost anything". He loved his cats, at one time he had a "family" of 30.
He will be remembered as a kind and caring man, the first one to help anyone. His famous saying was, "that's okay kid". He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
Surviving are his step-daughter, Margaret "Margie" Langille, Barney's River Station.
He was predeceased by his companion, Mary Catherine "Marie" Davis.
A graveside memorial serivce will be held at a later date.
