Obituary of Oral Charles Smith
LITTLE HARBOUR – Oral Charles Smith, 58, Little Harbour, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at home.
Born on September 14, 1958 in Yarmouth, he was a son of Iona (Donaldson) Kenny, Pictou and the late Charles Smith. Prior to retirement due to ill health, he had been employed as a machinist with Hawboldt’s. Oral enjoyed fishing, fly tying and would give a good “MacGyver” at anything. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle and friend.
Surviving besides his mother are son, Michael (Felicia) Smith, Mount William; granddaughter, Adelia Rose Smith; brother, Greg Kenny, Churchville; sister, Bonnie Westaway, Pictou; nieces, Leah and Lila Dawn.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by sister, Cheryl MacKay; brother, Wayne Smith; nephew, Joey Conway.
The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Friday, March 24th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
