Obituary of Robert Wayne Browning
NEW GLASGOW - Robert Wayne Browning, 51, New Glasgow, formerly of French River, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at home, surrounded by his family.
Born in London, Ont., he was a son of Marion Browning, New Glasgow and the late Stirling Charles Browning. He was a member of the former French River Presbyterian Church. On leaving high school, he served with the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry for three years, stationed in Winnipeg. He attended Kingstec, Kentville and completed the Senior Technician Course. He was employed with Michelin Tire for 33 years, working in Granton, Watervale, Ireland, Poland, Russia, Algeria, China and Georgia, USA. Wayne was a talented musician, who enjoyed playing piano, guitar, violin and banjo. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Surviving besides his mother, Marion, are his wife, Nataliya Masalitina; daughter, Lisa Browning (Shawn) and grandson, Kayden, New Glasgow; son, Sterling W., Calgary, Alta.; sisters, Cheryl-lynn Browning, London; Heather Marr (Andrew), Antigonish; brothers, Rick and Kevin (Linda), New Glasgow; Wendell (Cheryl), Auburn; aunt, Sadie Stewart, Greenwood; uncles, Wayne Browning, London; John (Lorraine) Urquhart, Truro; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Sterling.
The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 3rd in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4th in the Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Interment will be in French River Cemetery.
