Obituary of Adeline Ethel Latter

STELLARTON – Adeline Ethel Latter, 87, Stellarton, formerly of Thorburn, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by the love of her family.

 

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Robert Bruce and Mary Ellen (Turnbull) Wallace.

 

Surviving are her daughter, Jean MacLeod, Stellarton; sons, Donnie, Plymouth ; Michael (Kathy), Glace Bay; Alan (Linda), MacPherson’s Mills; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Darroch, Stellarton; Jean O’Connor, Anderson’s Mountain; Lillian Graham, West Branch; Gloria Clyburn, Plymouth; brother, Donald, Thorburn.

  

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Kenneth; granddaughter, Deborah Latter, in infancy; great-granddaughter, Aria Swallow-MacLeod in infancy; sisters, Mary Grant and Edith MacIntosh; brothers, Frank and Robert; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wallace and Una Wallace; brothers-in-law, Ron Clyburn, James Darroch, Jerry O’Connor, Hugh Graham and James Grant.

   

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Thursday, May 26 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.

 

The family respectfully requests that those attending please wear a mask.
