I used to visit Aunt Em as a young girl in her home in Brampton, we would go often and I would always find some treats to indulge in. She made the best gingersnaps and my Dad and I shared the love of her lemon meringue pie. I remember playing darts in the basement and lawn darts in the backyard. Aunt Em was someone I always admired, for her strength, resilience and her ability to stay young at heart. She had the most contagious laugh and when she got together with family, who knew what trouble she could find, always up for a good prank. She will be missed.

Allan and I express our sincere sympathy to Nonie, Stuart, and the rest of Emily’s clan. You were all so lucky to have her for so long. She was a force of nature, and heaven will probably never be the same since her arrival. May she rest in peace.

Emily and Tub (Alex) Donnelly were our neighbours in Brampton in the early 80’s. They became surrogate grandparents for our two children Melaya and Brendon. In fact we took Brendon into their house on the way home from the hospital. We have many precious memories of visits with them. Our kids still remember the tin of ginger snaps which always were available for treats. We visited on a trip east and that same tin was still full. Our family have many great memories of Emily and we were glad we were able to connect with her last year. Thankful for her long life. Bill and Sue Bogers

To the entire Williams family & clan:
As Pauline's older sister & Greg's sister-in-law, I got to meet the "fabulous" Auntie Em a few years ago. To say this lady is filled with effervescence is a fact!! She epitomizes the true spirit of life, love, friendship & loyalty. With these honourable attributes, she was rewarded with a blessed 105 years of life. You go, girl!!
Hugs, Lil (Manitoba & Arizona)

To Greg and Pauline, Bryan and Bev, Ron and Bruce and entire extended family. I only met Auntie Em once and probably 30 years ago while I too lived in Brampton like Greg and Pauline. I knocked on her door to introduce myself as she lived just around the corner from me. She welcomed me like I was family as well - being Pauline's sister. I never forgot her incredible personality, smile, bubbly sense of humour, and conversation of pride as she spoke of her family. My deepest condolences to you all for your loss. She certainly left a deep impression on everyone she met and family will miss her terribly. Sincerely Lois Kolarik (Goulding) and Peter.

Dear Susan, Brent, Krista, and Tracy,
What a beautiful tribute in honour of your amazing grandmother. She loved you, all her Grands and family so much!
We cherish so many memories – like her visits with Myrtle and Gerald, Grant and Alma, and Marg to visit us in Newfoundland and Ontario. She never left without dropping a few coins into Sandra’s piggy bank and boy did ‘Sandy’ ever love that!
Our many Sunday dinners together when we lived in Brampton are etched deeply in our hearts. Visions of her and Tub’s barbecued Prime Rib roasts and her famous Lemon Meringue pies still makes our mouth water. We learned the art of lawn darts from Em and adored her fun competitive side!
Greg forged a deep love for Auntie when he stayed with her in Sarnia, the summer of 1969, after Allister passed away. And yes, she changed his life forever. They jogged together and she got him a great job. His family did not know him when he returned to Barney’s River.
We have so many fond memories of her and Tub (Alec) at our wedding in 1975. Switching false teeth with Gerald comes to mind!
Auntie was a gifted crafter, and the RCMP needle point that she made for our wedding still hangs with pride on our home. When Em moved back to Nova Scotia, she never missed an opportunity to bake Greg a Lemon Meringue pie when we visited - just because. And her pies were the best! And so was she! Rest in peace sweet Auntie. We miss you. Love Greg and Pauline ❤️

Em loved my father, “the Rev”, Rev Dr. Douglas A. Wilson, and in return, our entire family loved her. No visit to Nova Scotia was complete without visiting Em.
Her wedding to Alec was held in my parents living room, and, as I was making the punch, Freddie wrote “and rum” on my mother’s recipe, which is now in my recipe box. Freddie and Billie were much adored older “brothers”.
Em’s biscuits with molasses were a joy to behold, and even better for noshing.
With much love,
Joyce Wilson Agnew

When my middle son was born, we flew home from Iqaluit at Christmas. He was only a few weeks old. We decided to have him baptized at the church I grew up going to. Well, Emily was behind us in the pews. She said Shelly, hand that baby over! So I did! You never argued with Emily. She held onto him the whole service...only giving him back when it came time for the actual baptism. As soon as that was over, she wanted him back. When the service was over, she said, Can I keep him? Lol. Emily, yoy are missed by so many, but I know my son has another angel watching over him. My condolences to you all. Love, Shelly (MacKay)

One word to describe Emily Donnelly :FIRECRACKER.It was a pleasure to be around Emily, what a treasure! She and my Mother were very good friends who shared so many memories through the good and bad times. During covid a couple of my sisters and brothers went to Valley View Villa during the Christmas Season and stood outside Emily's window speaking to her on a cell phone. Emily had a smile on her face while we all took turns speaking to her and she said we made her Christmas but it was her who made our Chrsitmas. Rest in peace Emily your Family and Friends will certainly miss you.
