Obituary of Sharon Ida Livingstone

PLYMOUTH – Sharon Ida Livingstone, 85, Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at home.

 

Sharon was born on July 4, 1937, to Eldon and Kate Brown of Horseheads, New York. She was the youngest of five, sister to Donald, Clayton, Robert and Nadine. She had a happy childhood and was queen of the junior prom before marrying at the young age of 17.

 

By the time she was 22 she had four daughters: Diana, April, Sharon (Sheri) and Jill. Nine years later she had her first of two sons: Jim, and then Joel. When she was 50 years old, she married David Livingstone of New Glasgow, and her family grew to include four more children: Dana, Velda, Edwina (Wina), and David (Davey). Together they had many sons- and daughters-in-law and grandchildren and great grandchildren, and Sharon loved them all. She had many friends as well, her deepest and longest-lasting friendships being with Carol Caforio and Marilyn Krause.

 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Donald, Clayton and Robert.

 

She generously practiced hospitality as an adult for many years, both as a fellow-worker in the Gospel Tent work in the Maritimes and in her day-to-day life. Although she was not exempt from life's troubles, her faith was in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and for eternal life.

 

A private family graveside service will take place.

 

The family will receive visitors 1-3 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Meeting Room, 32 Kirk Avenue, Stellarton, please use Rutherford Street Extension entrance.
