Debbie… please accept my sincere condolences as we are away at present. Donnie and I worked together almost all yours years with the company. Work took us many places including his parents and eventually his woodlot. We worked hard those early days but yet we had fun doing it. We had a work family. I have many fond memories of on and off duty activities. Some that come to mind are meeting his parents at the home place ( just dropped in on way by), meeting you in those early days at the trailer by the mill, I helped even do a few things at the house when he was building it, the various silviculture work related things, work related trips to other companies, provinces and states , the ball tournaments ( remember the pain meds you gave me for a headache haha) , the company parties etc etc.

My Dad Clary Morrison worked with Donnie at Scott Paper. I remember Dad and Donnie doing a woodmens competition at Sports mens meet in Stillwater.
Also Dad was so pleased to have a visit from fellow co- workers when he wasn’t well. Also coming to Dad’s wake so much appreciated.

Dear Debbie, Chris, Rick, and Randy,
My family and I have had many wonderful moments with Donnie over the years as your family warmly welcomed us into your home. Growing up with Rick, Donnie would always check in with me on how things were in Laggan - I’m not sure whether he was surprised we could survive in the deep woods or whether he was living vicariously through me.
Through my lifelong friendship with Rick, I’ve indirectly benefitted from Donnie’s wealth of knowledge, be it about boating, working in the woods or building projects inside and out. Then when Rick, Isabelle, and Thomas were making the move to New Brunswick from Ottawa, it was great to have the chance to work side-by-side with Donnie. We tackled many tasks, and he was happy to point out better ways of doing things but also didn’t hesitate to get his hands dirty packing or lugging things.
In recent years, with kids in tow, our families gathered together in the screened-in porch in Pictou Landing to feast on Pictou County Pizza.
We are thinking about all of you and feel fortunate to have fond memories of Donnie.
