Obituary of Gordon Scott Forbes

Gordon Scott Forbes, 72, Westville Road, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John Lloyd and Helen Aleen (Enman) Forbes. Scott and his wife, Ann, opened Forbes New to You in 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed working together. Throughout his life, Scott was always active: hiking, kayaking, skin diving, marathon running and biking. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, having owned at least 13 bikes in his life. Scott possessed a gentle nature and a willingness to help others.  He believed in staying physically fit and always “putting your best foot forward”.

Surviving are his wife, Ann; son, Devin (Shauna) Forbes, Pictou; Ann’s sons, Darren Wile, New Glasgow; Greg (Melissa) Wile, New Glasgow; brother, Lloyd (Nancy) Forbes, Telford.

Besides his parents, he was predecesed by a brother, Bill.

The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 6 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
