Obituary of Roxie Lucretia Dean

Roxie Lucretia Dean, 91, Barneys River Station, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in the Aberdeen Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow.

Born in Meaghers Grant, Halifax Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Barbara (Mosher) Sibley.  Roxie was the last surviving member of her family. She possessed an industrious work ethic and held the belief that “hard work will never hurt you”. Roxie was a phenomenal baker and was a “natural” gardener.  She demonstrated her artistic talent in wood working, having created many treasurers for her family. 

Surviving are her husband, Neil; daughter, Barbara (Richard) Macdonald, Cole Harbour; granddaughter, Alison Macdonald, Halifax; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by many siblings. 

In honour of Roxie’s wishes her family will celebrate her life privately.
