Obituary of Shawn Harry Gordon Dashwood

Shawn Harry Gordon Dashwood, 63, Thorburn, formerly of Georgetown, Ont., passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at home in the arms of his wife.

Born in Toronto, Ont., he was a son of Yvonne (Rogers) Dashwood, LaGrange, Georgia, and the late Kenneth Dashwood. Shawn was employed as a shipper and receiver with Victaulic, Toronto for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and anything to do with the outdoors.  His canine friend, Bella, was always at this side. Shawn leaves a rich legacy of love and devotion to his family.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Susan (Stroud); daughters, Crystal Dashwood (Chris), Brampton, Ont.; Monica (Rob) Campbell, Orangeville, Ont.; son, Jeffrey Dashwood (Manon), Scarborough, Ont.; grandchildren, Keira, Emma, Savanna, Mia and Callum; sister, Kim (Tim) Zarr, LaGrange; brother, Tony (Terrie) Dashwood, Scarborough, Ont.; a niece; two nephews; several cousins. 

Shawn’s family welcomes everyone to join with them to celebrate his life at 2 p.m. Friday, September 1 in the Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Father Bernard MacAdam presiding.
