I worked with Susan at the Aberdeen & we were "office neighbours" for a few years down at the back of 3 West - she was a great person to work with and always took everything that came her way in stride - we had a lot of great laughs together - she did a fine job of getting us managers to have our Emergency Preparedness Plans ready so it seems a sort of symmetry that Susan's Celebration of Life coincides with a hurricane! My sincere sympathy to all of Susan's family.

I have known Susan since 2008. She was an amazing friend, a great colleague, and always available when needed. We met at work, and did some amazing work together. Played cards, ate pizza, and laughed and joked for many years. She had an amazing sense of humour, and was one of most kind people I will ever know. I considered her my second mother. Heaven has gained an angel, with huge wings and the biggest heart ever. I will miss you Susan. To all the family and friends, please accept my sincere condolences and love.

My husband and I got to know Susan during the time we lived in New Glasgow. My hubby remembers Susan’s knowledge of the ‘best fishing spots’ where they often fished together. He talks about her still today so many years later. She was kind to a newly retired come from away man I will always remember her laugh. She was a tough cookie at work and held me to task often and I valued her expertise and her commitment. She knew more about OH&S and cared more about it than anyone else I have known. I know she will be missed by so many and send my love and comfort to all.

So sorry to hear about Susan's passing. She was a true friend. Susan attended many of the Occupational Health and Safety courses I put on for companies across the province. Although she was a Safety Professional, she hired me to put on courses for her staff. She told me she believed her staff would take safety more seriously if it was coming from someone else outside the hospital. RIP my dear friend.

I have only known Susan for a short three years, we became friends after the passing of another mutual dear friend. We became very close and I will surely miss her. She had such a great sense of humour and we shared many a laughing fit together. I was always so amazed at her strength and perseverence and an obvious intelligence that she was very humble about. She talked about her family a lot and I know how much she cherished her grandkids. My condolances to all of you.
