Obituary of Cornelius Ancil Dean

Cornelius Ancil “Neil” Dean, 94, Barneys River Station, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 23, 2023, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in Dean Settlement, he was a son of the late Eugene and Sarah Dean.  Neil was the last surviving member of his family. Neil enjoyed a long career in forestry and continued working until retirement.

Surviving are his daughter, Barbara (Richard) Macdonald, Cole Harbour; granddaughter, Alison Macdonald, Halifax; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Roxie; many siblings.

In honour of Neil’s wishes his family will celebrate his life privately.
