Obituary of Linda Marie Willett

Linda Marie Willett, 76, McLellans Brook, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 25, 2023, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John Edmond Kitson and Theresa Dorthea Works. Linda and her late husband, Tupper, shared a love for antique cars and NASCAR. They enjoyed traveling throughout North America to car shows and to races in New Hampshire and Florida.  They spent many enjoyable summers camping in Prince Edward Island with family and friends. Linda was most happy shopping and enjoyed many memorable trips to the outlets in New England and to other destinations throughout the Maritimes. She could always be found listening to Johnny Reid and knew each of his songs by heart. Linda will be fondly remembered as a kind, loving lady who lived life to the fullest.

Surviving are her sons, Trevor Willett, McLellans Brook; Jeff Willett, New Glasgow; Michael (Kathryn) Willett, Halifax; Martin (Debby) Willett, Winnipeg, Man.; grandchildren, Matthew, Tessa, Spencer, Tyler and Ysabella; mother-in-law, Evelyn Willett, Truro; sisters-in-law, Elaine Cancian, Truro; Katherine (Gary) Coakes, Bedford; Lorraine Clyburne, Lower Sackville; brother-in-law, John Willett, Fraser’s Mountain; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Tupper Willett; granddaughter, Ada; sister-in-law, Trixie Willett; brothers-in-law, Cal Cancian and Brian Clyburne.

The family will receive visitors from 10 – 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Mrs. Debbie White officiating. Interment will be in Castle Hill Cemetery, McLellans Brook.

Linda’s family wish to thank, Carleigh, Hilda, Nellie, Debbie and for the love they so readily gave. They also wish to thank the many health care professionals at the Aberdeen Hospital for the wonderful care Linda received.
