Obituary of Glenn Alan MacDonald

Glenn Alan MacDonald, 73, Chance Harbour, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mary (Ottar) MacDonald, Trenton. Glenn was a graduate of Mount Allison University, Sackville, N.B., and Technical University of Nova Scotia (DalTech) where he studied engineering.  After graduation he spent his career at the former Trenton Works under several ownerships.  His dedication to his career and his community was utmost, but always second to his love for his family.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Valerie; sons Jeffrey (Shanna) MacDonald, Bedford and Gregory (Celia Ramroop) MacDonald, Bayers Lake; grandson, Sullivan “Sully” MacDonald; sister, Beverly (Jim) Hayden, Woodburn; brothers, Bill (Diane) MacDonald, Newmarket, Ont. and Gary MacDonald, Sackville, N.B.; several beloved nieces and a nephew.

In honour of Glenn’s wishes his family will celebrate his life privately.
