Obituary of Richard Allan Clark
Richard Allan Clark, 61, Thorburn, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at home, with his daughter by his side.
Born on September 29, 1962, he was a son of the late Herbert and Christene (Piltcher) Clark. Richard could build anything, fix anything, a regular Red Green do-it-himselfer. He was a fan of crazy stories and often didn't realize his children believed his every word. His oldest child was eight years old before he discovered his mother was not in fact, “run over by a reindeer on Christmas Eve”.
His children state, “Our wish is that dad is very mad to discover there is in fact a heaven and a god after swearing he was an atheist his whole life and that he is proudly strutting on the clouds in his favourite Daisy Duke shorts that we hid on him and can finally tell his colours apart. However, he will still wear pink as secretly it was his favourite color.” He will be dearly missed by his children, grandchildren and siblings.
Surviving are daughters, Amanda (Brent) Servos, Miscouche, P.E.I.; Nicole Fraser, Thorburn; son, Corey Clark, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Kyden, Ada, KaDee, Declan, Kynlee, Kori, Maggie and Willow; mother of his children, Janet Clark, Trenton; sisters, Christine Crowther, Stellarton; Joanne Tye, Westville; brothers, Teddy Clark, Stellarton; Tim Clark, Westville; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Rhonda Crowther; bother, Elliott Clark; nephew, Chad; aunt, Mae Clark and uncle, Tom Clark; cousin, Allan.
The family will receive visitors 1-1:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
