Obituary of Theresa Margarette Baker
It is with sad hearts were share that Theresa (Nanny B) Baker, lost her battle with cancer, however she won the war by peaceful going out on her own terms, surrounded by the love and presence of her cherished family in her home on May 27th, 2024. She was a pillar of strength and resilience, facing life's greatest challenges with the same unwavering determination that defined her existence. We take solace knowing she is now back with the love of her life Stephen (Stubby) MacNeil who predeceased her in 2013.
Throughout her courageous fight, Theresa approached each day with the fierce independence. She refused to be defined by her illness, instead choosing to embrace each moment with love and an unyielding resolve. Theresa shared an unshakable bond with her daughter, who was not only her daughter but also her closest confidante and best friend. She knew if she needed anything Rosie would drop everything and run to her side.
Nanny B, a woman who was tough as nails yet with a heart of gold, lived her life with an unwavering determination and no-nonsense attitude, she fearlessly tackled every obstacle in her path. Yet, amidst her strength, Theresa's love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great grandson shone brightly, filling their lives with warmth and joy. Her legacy as a fierce woman who loved with everything she had will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
She is remembered fondly by her daughter, Rose Gosbee; son, Darrin (Darlene) Willson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren Jeffrey (Samantha) Russell, Amanda (T.J.) MacPhee, Lee (Brianna) Gosbee, Jasmin (Devon) Lawrence, Steven ( Holleigh) Lawrence, Ruby (Noah) Gratto, Clifford Walton, Logan Gosbee, Hannah Gosbee, John Gosbee, Nova Lee Gosbee, Aurora Warrington, Shila Russell, Jeffrey Russell, Austin Russell, Avery Lawrence, Noah Lawrence, Georgia Rushton, and Dawson Kenney; sisters, Florence Robinson and Pearl Murray; brothers, Johnnie Baker and Art Baker
She was predeceased by parents, Mary and Les Baker; brother, Neil Baker.
Though Theresa may no longer walk among us, singing to her birds, Baby blue and Pinchy, or chasing the next generation around, her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were touched by her remarkable spitfire spirit. Her memory will forever remain a beacon of light, guiding us through life's darkest moments and reminding us of the power of the human spirit and how to fight for what you want to the very last breath.
Lovingly written by family.
