Elsa was a dedicated Board member at the Pictou County Day Care for many years. She introduced me to the community and was a valuable asset to our personnel committee. My condolences to her children and their families.

I remember being in one of Elsa's classes that was stuffed to the brim with 30+ students at THS and how she had the respect of everyone in that room. She guided us through the Provincial introduction to standardized testing in grade 12. She was a friendly face in the hallways as well as in her classroom. She remembered sibling groups and had a fun sense of humor. We got away with making trips to Tim Hortons as long as we brought back a coffee to her too :)
Her loss is surely a loss to her family, to the teaching profession, and, to the community. Rest well, Mrs. Bond.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of such a great lady and teacher. Besides teaching me English she also taught me Drivers Ed, which I might add was pretty scary for her when I was 15. I drove up on the sidewalk in Stellerton and near hit a tree! God speed to her.

To Elsa’s children & families, my sincere condolences & sadness upon hearing of her passing, Elsa was my English teacher (Ms Kyle) fondly known as way back then in the late 70’s, an admirable teacher I’m pleased to have had. Elsa made English class interesting & pleasurable while learning at the same time. She was a dedicated teacher and put the extra effort into making class enjoyable; one such memory is when she organized a play, complete with amazing costumes to be shared to the entire school and parents. An intelligent & remarkable lady/teacher, sincere caring compassion in your emotional loss.

Not only was she by far the best teacher I ever had; she was also a friend and a mentor. My deepest condolences to the family. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her♥️

Meager and Shaun please accept my very sincerest sympathy in your Mother’s passing. Your Momma, I am sure you know, was the best of the best.
