Obituary of Edna Jean Moulton
Edna Jean Moulton, 78, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of New Glasgow passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow with her daughter and son by her side.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Ludwick Levi and Myrtle Bella (Collins) Banfield. Jean was employed with the Bank of Nova Scotia, Royal Bank and Nova Scotia Power in Halifax for many years. Following she served with the Salvation Army in Halifax and Pictou County until her health prevented her from working. She also assisted her late husband, Clyde as caretaker at Scotian Glen Camp, Sutherlands River for 18 years. They treasured the opportunity to positively impact many lives.
Jean was a faithful soldier in the Salvation Army since the 1980’s, serving in many capacities. Her family are comforted to know that she is now reunited with Clyde in the presence of her Saviour.
Surviving are her son, Cecil Moulton, Lower Sackville; daughter, Sheri (Roger) Gamble, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Zachary (Taylor), Alicia, Matthew, Brandi, Brennan and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Lexi, L.J., Greyson, Elijah, Katie, Briar, Shayleen, Lilah; nieces, Melanie and Amy; nephews, Gregg (Julie) and Nathan; sister, Donna (Dave) Watts, Halifax; sister-in-law, Fran Moulton, Centre Burlington; “like children”, Kevin and Barb Cameron, Pine Tree and their children, Cory and Kelsey.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Richard Moulton; brother-in-law, Lionel Moulton.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m., Monday, in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 19 in The Salvation Army Westville Corps with Majors Daniel and Glenda Roode officiating.
