So sad of hearing the news about Allie. First met him at Dalton Hudson Recycle Yard in Country Harbour back in the 70's, we instantly became good friends. He often would drop into the house to have a chat or if luck would have it , we would sit him down at the kitchen table. Always funny and to the point in his conversations. He was a life saver to me for supplying me with truck parts, especially tires, Alie would phone and tell me to drop in for tires on rims for my f-150. I never bought a truck tire for several years, he would say there's 500 miles left on that tire .... In fact my daughter never every thought that she could own a car, she was about 10 years old and she honestly thought that tires wore out in a month, we still get a laugh thinking back. Money never ever came into the equations, I always had metal around for him to take , plus a few old trucks and I would line others up for him from other people in the area. Allie helped me put my kids thru university from the money he saved me over the years. Our family will never forget his kindness, one off the greatest guys I ever met . David Hayne Country Harbour

Saddened to hear of Allies passing. We were childhood playmates growing up in Linacy. We spent many hours playing baseball with all the neighbourhood kids. Allie loved to tell me spooky stories and was a very good story teller. After my family moved away when I was 14 I never saw Allie again, but I have many find childhood memories of him.
