Obituary of Clay Lancie Baker
RIVER JOHN – Clay Lancie Vervian Baker, 54, River John, formerly of Fall River, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 9, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his loving daughters by his side.
Born August 1, 1964 in Halifax, he was the son of Gloria Mae (Jackson) Baker, Fall River and the late Lancie Vervian “Sonny” Baker. Prior to retirement, Clay worked for Bioped in Mississauga, Ont. for over 17 years. Previously, he was employed as a Canadian Certified Pedorthist with the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Center, Halifax. Clay had a vast knowledge of hockey trivia, which won him prizes and a trip to St. Paul, Minn., where he sat with hockey Hall of Famers. He enjoyed long walks on the beach and building antique model cars. On August 5th Clay’s 54th birthday was celebrated, attended by many wonderful friends and family members. He was delighted and grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
Surviving besides his mother are daughters, Cynthia Baker (Josh Harrison), Brampton, Ont.; Cassandra Baker (David Cracknell), Windsor, Ont.; granddaughter, Everly Harrison; sister, Kathy (John) Dornadic, River John.
