Dear Aunt Beatrice, Hughie, Donna, Linda, Jimmy, Ryan and Lindsay, Thinking of you all at this very difficult time. Uncle Buster was a dear and good man who cared very deeply and worked very hard for his family. I will always remember him as an exceptional storyteller, a witty comic. I'll also remember him as the man who saw a good horse in Scott and so generously bought him for the family. My earliest memories of Uncle Buster are of him and old Tex in the wagon, or down behind the barn. I always think of horses when I think of Uncle Buster. I envision heaven as a place of green pastures and still waters - pastures filled with horses. I think Scott is there in those green pastures, beside still waters, and probably old Tex too, and that Uncle Buster is enjoying their pleasant company once more. With much love, Meghann

I'm so sorry that Uncle Buster had to leave. But I'm glad you all got to spend quality time with him. The last time I saw him was about 3 yrs ago... at Frenchie's. As always, he made me laugh till I fell over in the bin. He was telling me a crazy, old story about some old guy and a horse. Someone he was sure I should know... even though he'd probably been long gone before I was even born. It didn't matter to me what the story was even about... it was funny and he laughed and slapped his leg while he was telling it. If I could snap my fingers today and be over these mountains I would. I suppose he wouldn't want much fuss made... but I'll say this... he was... He was Uncle Buster to me. A good provider and father. And a good horseman and a fixer of things. I hope he is now teasing Aunt Phyllis and Aunt Biddy and Nannie ... making them laugh. I hope he gets good pork chops and gravy for supper. Sending love, Debbie Younker

Dear Donna, Linda, Hughie and Aunt Beatie... I will remember Uncle Buster with fond memories and remember his stories and the laughter we shared together. I really think that it was God's way that my father and him were in the hospital together for those two days before he passed on...you are in my heart and although these coming days will be difficult, I look forward to getting together with you all to share more memories with you. God Bless and stay strong...
