Dear Vivian and family: Sorry I was unable to get down to Merlin's funeral, but I had another one to attend to today here in Pugwash. You folks have always been so good about attending things up this way, but hope you understand. I will be with you folks in thought and prayer. Take care and may God bless. Love Mary P. A donation has been made to the Can. Cancer Society in Merlin's memory. Card in mail.

Dear Vivian and family, We were so sorry to learn of Merlin's passing. He was a fine gentleman and will be sincerely missed, not only by his family, but by all who knew him. We always appreciated you folks attending so many family events over the years. And we regret that we cannot be with you tomorrow. I was glad to hear that brother Bill and Diana were down to the funeral home tonight, also some of Aunt Audrey's family members from Truro. Will be thinking of you all at this sad time. A memorial to the Canadian Cancer Society has been made in fond remembrance of Merlin. Our love and sympathy, Cousin Grace (MacKay/Trenholm) and Fred Speth
