I met Bill years ago on a train going from Montreal to Toronto. He was working on a play. I felt like I'd known him forever. We chatted all the way to Toronto and exchanged phone numbers when we arrived in Toronto. We saw movies and saw eachother for the occasional meal. I was able to visit Bill in Nova Scotia. I found a (ceramc?) balloon man while visiting Lunenburg with another friend which I gave Bill as a thank-you for his hospitality. Unfortunately, Bill and i lost touch and I just learned of his passing this afternoon. Bill, wherever you are, know that I miss you and think of you often. ❤️ Nancy

So sorry for your loss. I have many memories of Bill from the years we went to Kings Head school. He loved acting even then and always made us laugh. He will be missed...

Bill was a valued leader of the Performing Arts Lodges for the last few months. In his exemplary way, he stepped in when the board was at a low ebb and made sure that we kept on doing the good work that had to be done. His energy will be missed in this group and I'm sure in every group he was involved in. Rest in peace. Ron Skibbens

Dear Lloyd, Scott, and families, I'm thinking of you today, as you lay Bill to rest. Losing him so suddenly has been a real blow for everyone, but most especially for you who have known him all of his life. I had the priviledge of working with Bill several times over the past 17 years, both as an actor and as an Equity council member. As an artist, and in service to the theatre community,he was gifted, generous, dedicated, and tireless. As a friend, he was loyal and loving. I will miss him. My sorrow at losing Bill is compounded by my being unable to be with everyone today, to share in grieving. My hearat is with you all. Respectfully, Carroll Godsman

I knew Bill from being on the board of PARC. I will miss his great sense of humour, support, passion for theatre and compassion as a friend. I really loved watching him perform at Readings - his kids plays especially.

I knew Bill through his many years of service to the Council (national board) of Canadian Actors' Equity Association. Through Bill, Atlantic Canada always had a thoughtful and caring voice at the table. I will miss him, and know many, many others will as well. Please convey my condolences to his family.

Please accept my condolences for such a terrible and sudden loss of a brother and uncle, fellow professional, friend and all round nice guy. I worked with Bill in several different settings over the years- the most recent was a radio play where we were husband and wife. Bill made it terrific fun! The other way I knew Bill was as a fellow flea marketeer! I ran into him numerous times especially recently as he made interesting purchases and dedicatedly worked to improve on his house in Kennetcook. It has been a terrible shock and loss for us all in the theatre community, and for you most of all, his family. I am out of town and cannot make the service tomorrow but please know that my thoughts and heart are with you. Best wishes, Wanda Graham

I worked with Bill through both the Water st dinner theatre and the Phoenix dinner theatre. Bill taught me things I didn't know I had inside me. His warm and gentle soul brought out the best in all of us, we never wanted to disappoint our billiam! He wa brilliant, and the sets he created for us put us in awe of him! I loved to create his double dark and dirty's which on opening night always became triple,s as I knew the notes would be shorter. as i sit here writing this, it's still so hard to believe and even harder to understand that he is gone from this earth. I will love and miss him always. And never forget what he gave to me..the gift of satge and performing. RIP MY FRIEND I LOVE YOU!. Cindy Guitard
