Obituary of Charles William Forbes

UPPER KENNETCOOK – Charles William “Bill” Forbes, 50, Upper Kennetcook, passed away, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John Lloyd and Helen Aleen (Enman) Forbes. Bill was an actor, writer, director and designer. He was currently playing the role of Duddy in the production of Neighbours at Ships Company Theatre, Parrsboro. He was very pleased to have preformed at Neptune Theatre, Halifax for the first time last year. His work also included film and television productions, including Black Harbour and Emily of New Moon. He was an Atlantic Canadian Actors’ Equity councillor, board member for Performing Arts Lodge Halifax and Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre. Most importantly, Bill was a son and brother, who will be dearly missed by his family. Surviving are his brothers, Lloyd (Nancy), Telford; Scott (Ann), New Glasgow; nephew, Devon, Edmonton, Alta. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Private interment will be in Kenzieville Cemetery.
