Obituary of Earl Chester Germaine

KINGS HEAD – Earl Chester Germaine, 74, Kings Head, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in the comfort of his home. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Dana Gladding and Margaret Robertson (Grant) Germaine. Earl was always involved in trucking, having owned and operated Germaine and Williams Trucking Ltd. for many years and at the time of his passing, Melmerby Oversize Escorts, Piloting and Permits Inc. He possessed a strong work ethic - working until the time of his passing. Earl had a zest for life, a sharp wit, and an extraordinary ability to solve problems. He did not always follow convention, but was passionate about his beliefs and business pursuits, and advocated accordingly. Earl loved his family dearly and was proud of their accomplishments. Surviving are his long-time friend and former wife, Jean, Linacy; daughters, Shauna Parker, Linacy; Debbie Germaine, Edmonton, Alta.; grandchildren, Ashlee Parker, Halifax; Alicia Parker, Linacy; sisters, Eva (Dr. Steven) Shimotakahara, North Bend, Oregon; Ivy (David) Shaw, Stillwater Lake; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Beverly Lambert. If desired, donations may be made in memory of Earl to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
