Dear Cheryl, I will never forget your kind words of advice and support at the time of my mother's treatment and death. Over the last months I came to admire your courage and strength. Our only comfort is to know that you are now sharing the light and love of God.

Dear Cheryl’s Family: Cheryl was one of ours also at our Lung Cancer Support Family on Yahoo. She had last posted to us on the 15 July and left no impression that she was under additional stress. As always, she was encouraging to others and selfless. She was a dear friend. Now she will suffer nor fear no longer. All her pains and worries are washed away as she rest in the arms of our Lord. In His Grace Elton

I am so very saddened by Cheryl's death. She was such a lovely lady and compassionate friend. I found her so delighted to share stories about her family and her "bucket list" and trip to Boston with her daughter. We corresponded through the "lung cancer support family@yahoogroups.com I prayed daily for her well being and survival. I'm so sorry for her loss to family and friends. Stephanie Griffin

Dear family of Cheryl, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. It was an honour to have worked closely with Cheryl on a provincial project to develop the first provincial standards for addiction prevention and community education in Canada. She was extremely commited to evidence-informed practice. When she retired she left a big hole and big shoes to fill. She left with a lot of corporate memory on how Addiction Services evolved from the Commission on Drug Dependency. I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed working with Cheryl. She taught me a lot. She had high standards! Take care, Carolyn Davison Director, Addiction Services NS Health Promotion and Protection

I met my aunt for the first time that I remember when i was about maybe 10 or 12, and since then she had been labeled THE best aunt of all time. I don't know what the world is going to be like without her little spark of happiness around.. Love you... And miss you dearly

Jonathan,Terry and Briona my thoughts are with you all during this difficult week. I met your Mom in 1993 while we worked in the same building in Pictou. She always had stories about her beloved children and kept your school pictures up to date on her office wall. She was such a caring mother. She was very stong and determined as well and she fought the good fight,in all areas of her life, right until the end. I admired her. As you carry on I know her strength will help sustain you. God bless.

I met Sherry while in highschool, she was a few years older than me, but we had mutual friends and we just hit it off. She would come to spend many hours at our house over the years, after school, waiting for her drive home and my mom & dad grew to love her too, we all did...she moved away as years went by and we lost touch. When Ken died we found each other again and met up at her wonderful home at the shady pines. We emailed and kept in touch and it was devestating news when she told us she had cancer...even more so when we learned there was no more that could be done for her...I will always remember her flaming red hair, her devilish grin, the wonderful times we spent together, so many years ago, and her heart that was as big as all outdoors. She was such a smart lady, a great lady to have known...and I will miss her. My heart goes out to her children and extended family, she leaves behind a string of broken hearts that only time can mend. I Pray that God will help heal your broken hearts... We now have a beautiful red-haired angel watching over us...make her proud...

I work with Big Brothers Big Sisters and have worked with Cheryl on many different occasions. I recall the first time I met her and how inspired I was by our discussion about her children. I was always glad to see her as we would have some interesting discussions. Please know how others share in your sorrow. Cheryl was one special lady and many people were touched by her spirit. God Bless.

As a friend of Archie's, I met Cheryl and Kenny while Jonathan was just a baby. I enjoyed visiting them and I remember Cheryl for her intelligence and wit and kind spirit. I recently reconnected with her online which brought back so many great memories. Thank you for those special times Cherry.
