Obituary of Kimberley Ann Vienneau
PICTOU/RIVERTON – Kimberley Ann Vienneau, 59, Pictou, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou surround by her family.
Born in Etobicoke, Ont., she was the daughter of Jerome David Kenny and the late Margaret Louise (Austin) Kenny. Kim was employed with Michelin Tire, Granton for over 30 years, retiring due to ill health. She enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time in the outdoors, hiking and bathing in the sun. Kim’s compassion for animals was often observed by the number of stray cats she “housed” over the years. She was the “mom” that her children’s friends trusted and confided in; always willing to give a soft shoulder to cry on. Music was constantly “blasted” throughout her home and car. She made every effort to attend as many concerts as possible to support the artists. Kim’s kindness, and empathy for the plight of others, lead her to do everything possible to help. To those she loved, her shining light will never be extinguished.
Surviving are her daughters, Leah (Kyle) Samson, New Glasgow; Jenna Vienneau, Halifax; step-daughter, Danielle Beck (Mykel Jeffers), Kitchener, Ont.; grandchildren; Aiden, Owen and Kenzie; former husband and friend, Michael Vienneau, New Glasgow; siblings, Karen O’Brien, George Kenny, Jerry (Bev) Kenny, all of Whitehill; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her son, Jason.
The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m., Monday, March 25th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
Donations in Kim’s memory may be made to the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou or the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia. (Please click to donate.)
