I'll never forget Lawrence suggesting I buy a parcel of rainforest as a Christmas gift for my family. I'm happy to plant a tree in his honour. Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree

Lawrence was the head of the first home I lived in when I moved to Vancouver in 1990 at 2092 East 13th Ave., on the edge of Trout Lake. "No neatness freaks or slobs" the ad said; it was very compelling. Lawrence was a wonderful man full of humour, intelligence, and caring. Most of us were seven or eight years younger than him, and he was very patient with us. He created a safe place to meet up and share, with long, candlelit talks around the kitchen table over a bottle of wine. I am sorry I won't get to catch up with him again, at least not on this plane. I am grateful to have known him, and will never forget him. Condolences to his family and friends.

I'm so shocked to hear of Raymond's passing. As a classmate from the early grades in Acadia Street school up to Grade 12 I feel lucky to have grown up with him and truly enjoyed his sense of humour.
