Clyde is a man of God. His character always portrayed patience, gentleness, and faithfulness. A true soldier of Christ Jesus and a prayer warrior; loved Jesus and his family deeply. I was privileged to work under Clyde at Scotian Glen camp, and his spiritual life and relationship with the Lord will always be inspirational to me and treasured in my memories of him. Thank you Clyde! Glory to God!

It was such an honour to know and love this incredible Man of God. We will especially miss his inspiring prayers and words of encouragement within the Westville Corps Family. He fought his battles courageously and today he enjoys his eternal reward. See you at The Great Reunion Brother in Christ. Well Done though good and faithful.

Condolences to Clyde's family. I knew Clyde as a scouter in Lr. Sackville. Always a quiet man but ready to do what the youth needed to be a good program. He was missed when he moved away. It is so great to read of all the wonderful ways that he helped so many people. His work is done and he has "gone home"

I was so sorry to hear about Clyde's passing this week. A man of Christ who influenced so many people with his kindness and compassion. I will always remember him leading devotions at Scotian Glen Camp and showing humour, patience, and godliness to a cabin filled with teenage boys. He truly lived out his faith in every avenue of his life. Well done good and faithful servant.

Clyde had a formative impact on my life as a young Christian, and his impact has continued into my life as an adult. His faith was humble and authentic, and many times he would come to me with an encouraging word or a question that came from a sincere place. I loved him, and looked up to him. He will be greatly missed.

I couldn’t believe it when I heard today that Clyde had passed away. I first met Clyde when I was Cairo’s Officer at New Glasgow. It didn’t take long to learn that he was a remarkable man of God. He lived out his faith every day and there was never any question that he loved the Lord. There us no doubt that he has impacted many lives . Only eternity will reveal all those who came to Jesus because of his quiet but powerful witness. He is home at last! My prayers are with you. Velma

To Jean and Family: We have so many great memories of our time with Clyde at Scotian Glen camp. He was such a gentle Christian man who showed God’s love to so many he came in contact with. He always made time for Zack and cared for him. I know today he is with his Lord he loved and served free from pain. Sending our love and prayers to you at this time of loss.

Sorry to hear of Clyde's passing. The world lost a good one today. I worked with Clyde for 3 summer's at Scotian Glen Camp and as they say hindsight is definitely 20/20. At the time when I was working at camp the main focus was chasing around all the beautiful ladies on camp staff or trying to be as badass as the guys on staff. Never really taking alot of time to get to know someone like Clyde. Looking back I see a man who quietly went about his work at the camp with humility. I see a man who did his work not simply for a pay cheque but did his job to give the hundreds of campers that past through Scotian Glen year after year the best and most well maintained camp possible. Clyde never tried to push faith down anyone's throat but never failed to offer wisdom where he felt necessary. One conversation that he and I shared that comes to mind was when I had decided to move back to Newfoundland. When many of the people in my life at the time were trying to push me toward Bible school thinking I was meant for the ministry. And he shared with about this book he was reading about how this person was called to be an accountant and became a pastor instead and at the end of that man's life he met God and God showed him all the things that he missed and showed him that if he would have taken the path that was planned for him all of the blessings that would have came with it. The message is simple. Do what is in your heart to do. Not what someone else tells you that you should do. And that's the message I take away from that conversation with Clyde and one I believe still a good one to live by. In recent years I've really struggled with my place in life and in the world not really sure what I've been living for all these years or who I was meant to become. Through some of my struggles I have thought to myself. I'd love to sit in peacefulness of Scotian Glen Camp and talk with Clyde. Knowing that no matter what I've gone through I would get no judgement from him but maybe a much needed piece of wisdom. It's heartbreaking that he's gone. I would have loved to have that chance. Not really sure what I believe about God and heaven anymore but if there is a better place beyond this earth and this life, then Clyde you certainly deserve to be there. rest easy. Maybe someday we'll meet again.

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him." Thessalonians 4:13-14 May God Bless you Jean and Sheri. Take comfort in knowing that you will meet again and God has taken Clyde into his eternal home.
