Obituary of Donald Leo Hughes
PLYMOUTH – Donald Leo “Don” Hughes, 62, Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, after a life lived his way.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Myrtle Marie Hughes, Plymouth and the late Leo Vernon Hughes. Don was employed in road construction for many years with various companies, including East River Paving and Dexter Construction. He had a sense of humour and enjoyed carpentry.
Surviving besides his mother, Myrtle, are his sister, Charlene (Wayne) MacLean, Irish Mountain; long-time friend, Debbie McKee, Stellarton; chosen daughter, Sandra (Mike) Eis; chosen son, D. Steven (Colleen) Linthorne; four chosen grandchildren.
Besides his father, Leo, he was predeceased by his brother, Roy and sister, Deborah.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 in the home of his sister and brother-in-law, 892 Irish Mountain Road, Churchville.
