Dear Eleanor and Peggy I am so very saddened to hear of your mothers passing. It was a pleasure and an honour to do her hair for the past many years. She was a fascinating lady, and I enjoyed the time I spent with her. We got to be good friends, and had many great laughs together. She loved her family dearly, and was so proud of you all. She will be greatly missed.

Extending my sincere condolences to Eleanor and Peggy. Your mother was such a thoughtful and caring person. A genuine pleasure to have as a neighbour at Melmerby Beach. May the fond memories you have of Alice assist in carrying you through this difficult period.

I had the pleasure of working with Alice at TrentonWorks from 1969 to her date of retirement. Needless to say that she was one of the most pleasant and affable person to work with. The MacMillan family, in my opinion, should feel extremely fortunate to have such a lovable Grandma in the family. May God bless her soul. Mike Sood

A wonderful neighbor and friend. I will miss the visits at Christmas and exchanging homemade biscuits, bread and rolls all year round ! Always a pleasant chat over the fence about the dogs and family and she always had a genuine interest in everything we did. My sons enjoyed helping her out, shoveling snow off her roof and for many years would stop me as were leaving the yard to put her green bin back by her house. You will be missed Alice, such a pleasure to be your next door neighbor. Oh yes, I never needed an alarm clock for many years, Alice always left so very early every morning to do her volunteer work, my dogs always jumped and ran to the window to see her off ! Bless you my dear. Michael Higgs and family.

Peggy, Turk, Zach and Erica and families, We are so very sorry to hear of your precious Mom and Grandmas passing. We had the great privilege of meeting her at the wedding and we had a great conversation with her. We would have liked to have been able to be better acquainted with her. It is so very hard to lose a loved one. They leave a hole in our being that can never be replaced but it is a comfort to have wonderful and warm memories that will forever be in your hearts and minds. We pray that you will find great peace and comfort in those memories. Your are all in our thoughts and prayers.
