Rest In Peace Kevin. What a sad day when we heard of your passing. Our Condolences to Lea Ann and her family. We were friends roommates and you were Bruce’s co-worker.We think about that big ol farm house and the17 crab apple trees in the front yard and the crazy bets to see who had to clean them up. Didn’t take long for you Rick, Mel and Bruce to figure out what to do with 200lbs of apples. Sweet Jesus. So many stories, big laughter, fun times, these are etched in our hearts and minds.Twenty years later and the cleaning ladies are still talking about catching Kevin walking down the hallway butt naked.Coon didn’t know we hired the cleaning ladies while he was away working. She said Kevin screamed louder then she did and Kevin said she screamed louder then he did. One thing for sure is those ladies used to fight to see who was coming out when you were home. Back in the day when you and Bruce had hair. You went to soon Kevin but left many good memories. You will always be loved and missed. Rest friend , we will see you on the other side.

Kevin, what happened buddy, you left us waaaaay too soon. You will be and are sadly missed. Oh the stories we could tell and if those bunkhouse walls could talk, those days, months and years spent with you and Swan Hills defined the people we are today and you were certainly one of those people in my life and so were others who's live's that you touched along your way. Your a great man and a great person and a great friend Kevin, Love you and surely do miss you buddy. So glad we had the opportunity to talk recently, too bad we can't continue that, looks like we'll have to make it another time. Chow for now Kev, take care my ole friend.

So very sad to hear of Kevin's passing. Our deepest of condolences. It was just yesterday as young 20 year olds working on a rig in Northern Alberta when we first met with Rick leading the way as our Driller & leader. The times of our lives. Thank you Kevin for your wonderful nature, great humour & laughs you brought us all every day. As you set sail for a whole new world far beyond the surly bonds of earth, may the king of kings be with you always. Ever gentle on our minds. Fair winds

Kevin best buddy, best man We are at a loss for words We started our rig careers together over 40 years ago and always remained best of buddies . We worked in many countries together and your friendship has always been important and special. So many good times we had the stories we could tell! It meant a lot to us when you came to Spain for Christmas (more stories) I always liked that we both named our companies after our dogs and we both coincidently used the same 007 James Bond password ( great minds think alike) We will never forget the great times, the laughter , and your smile. You're a true friend, a great guy with a good heart and it's tough knowing we'll never see you again in this life. Miss you already buddy Now you're soaring with the eagles and one day I'll be soaring with you. LOVE AND FAREWELL TO YOU COON! Sending peace and prayers too all of Kevin's surviving loved ones Love always, Rick and D'Arcy Thomson

Please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences at this most difficult time. I was one of many of Kevin’s friends. With encouragement from Kevin, I also came out West seeking my fame and fortune many years ago in 1976 and I am still here. I spoke with Kevin just a few years ago and we had a great conversation for about two hours. He was a good friend and great person. I will always remember fondly his laughter and smiling face. So sorry for your loss.

Heartbreaking news to hear of Kevin's passing. Full of piss and vinegar and greater than life. He had a robust love for all the animals of the world and he had a tenderness for his friends and family, especially his sister Lee-Ann. He took Storm from rags to riches, gave him a life of grade A steak and other gourmet meals. Kevin had a great sense of humour and giant heart. He will be missed by many. May he rest easy and may those who knew him and those who love him be kind to themselves during this time of grief. So sorry for your huge loss. All my love, Justine Riley (MacKay).
