I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Donnie and the grief that the Mason family must deeply be feeling. My sincere condolences. Donnie was an absolutely amazing educator and tutor. I feel so grateful to have been one of his students and I will miss him encouraging me to problem solve by telling me to “figure it out” with a smile on his face.

To Dot and family. It was my great pleasure to be the secretary at Trenton high school when Don was the vice principal and acting principal. Don was a terrific man to work for, he was always very pleasant, very caring about the students, and all staff members. He was so respected by his students. There were a lot of funny things that happened at the school and we shared a lot of laughs in the office. I have such great memories of working with Donnie. My sincerest condolences to Dot and all members of his family.

Dorothy and family, Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to you during this difficult time. I was to say the least shocked when I heard about Don's passing. He was a great man who will always be remembered for the wonderful teacher and educator he was. I recall many times when I was struggling with my school work but Don was always there in the resource centre at THS to help whenever help was needed. Don definitely made an impact in the lives and education of a lot of students and to say he will be greatly missed is an understatement, Shaun and Michelle Bond

To Don’s wife, children, & extended family, we are very saddened to learn of Don’s passing, he was one of my all time favorite teachers & coach, his passion for teaching & coaching was undeniable. Remarkably after his retirement and looking for a tutor for my girl I heard he was still doing what he loved & we had the pleasure of reconnecting after so many years. He was still the best teacher as my daughter Caity can attest to. Reflecting back he’s the only man who’s face could get redder than his hair on the bench haha. I loved having him as a mentor and coach, he will forever be remembered and admired. Sincere compassion and condolences to each of you, so many treasured memories, sincerely Cindy.
