I met Fred at the Legion Curling Association annual meeting when I was attending my first Legion Bonspiel. He had been on the board quite a while already. I am now President of the Association trying to keep the work Fred and others like him started.

So saddened to learn of Fred's passing. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Aggie and the family during this difficult time. We have many fond memories of times spent with Fred and Aggie during summers in Margaree Harbour. Fred was truly a special man and he will be greatly missed.

Fred was a kind, funny and generous man to all that knew him. Our cottage at Margaree Harbour will never be the same again without our close neighbor and friend. Our prayers go to all the family.
