So very sorry for your loss. Heather was like a big sister to us children. She would roll up the carpet in the living and her and Cheryl would put records on and dance to the music! My Mom would always remind us how good your Mom was to us . I remember visiting your Mom & Dad’s first apartment in Ottawa on fifth avenue I think it was? Miles was a baby then. You also would visit us in Maniwaki once Michael locked himself in the bathroom and your Mom had a heck of a time to get him to slip the key under the door so she could unlock it. I considered her as my beautiful older sister and thought she was really cool because I really felt she didn’t mind my company. She also would bring me for a walk downtown sometimes in the evening to get a six pack of Coca Cola wow that was so cool I felt like a teenager! I loved her dearly and always will. I have pictures I could send you if you are interested.

My sincere sympathies to you all. I will keep Heather and her family in my Thoughts and prayers. Heather was a senior nurse at St Martha’s on 2nd East when I began work as a new Registered Nurse. Her dedication to her profession and her patients, and her willingness to share knowledge with us new nurses was quickly apparent. She was the go to person, always quick to troubleshoot and help you and to set you on the right path when needed. The direction she provided was so welcomed by this new nurse. It was a privilege to work with her and beside her and she was certainly missed when she finally decided to retire. Her kindness to all, her laugh, her dedication to nursing and patients and her love for her family was always apparent as she talked about her children and grandchildren at work. These qualities are her legacy . Take care everyone you will certainly miss her.

I loved working with Heather! We had so many good times & laughs for years in the Children's & Women's health dept. She made me laugh, witty as hell. Loved her family. She will be missed, but remembered by all the people, she touched over the years. All those good nurses from years at St.Martha's, I miss so much.. RIP Heather
