John, and family, I'm so sorry to have just heard of your loss of Sally. I'm so glad that we fit in a visit, albeit brief this summer and Hunter got to meet Sally and be delighted by her kindness and generosity. I remember fondly the adventures we had in Rankin, and the numerous laughs. She was one in a billion.

John, my friend, there are no words that express how saddened Joy and I are on hearing this news.
I have so many good memories of my time in Baker and the friendships made are valued most.

John I am so very sorry for your loss. Sally was genuine and such a joy to be around. It was a privilege to know her. Her laugh could bring me to tears in a good way. I am truly grateful and blessed to have been an Educational Assistant in Sally's classroom. She was firm, fair and consistent with her students and she loved teaching and her passion for it showed on a daily basis. Thinking of you all during this difficult time

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Sally’s passing. She was a joy to work with when she and I worked together as language consultants with Kivalliq School Operations where she was a temporary English Language Consultant. We travelled together to the communities within the Kivalliq region of Nunavut. I learned a lot from her during our brief time together. She always put the students first and foremost while working with teachers within the region. I often remember how she worried so much for her mother’s health during the times we travelled, yet she never showed her worries while in schools that we visited. When she and John left Baker Lake, we missed them both so much. Rest in sweet Paradise, dear Sally. My most heartfelt condolences to John and all those she left behind.

I am so sad to hear the news of Sally’s death. Mrs. S as she was known. Vivacious, bubbly, warm, caring - she left no heart untouched, no sad person uncheered, no room left dark by her presence. An excellent, pragmatic, dedicated Northern educator who served with love. I’m honoured to have been her colleague. Witnessing the love she and her husband John shared, I’m certain their love will abide thru eternity. I feel like my world is a little less cheery now with Sally’s passing and I envy the sphere she inhabits now for who, having heard it, can resist her laugh; who having encounter it, can doubt the sheer goodness of Sally’s heart; who having been lifted by it, can doubt she is with the angels, giggling with them. Rest cheerfully, dear Sally and to her truly beloved John, I send condolences and wishes for good grieving. To all her loved ones, oh we understand how much you miss her. Know her love will abide, how can it not?
