I always enjoyed seeing my Auntie Joyce and Uncle Earl whenever they visited my parents. Most of my memories of them were as a kid before they moved out east. They always brought such great fun with them! I remember her as always laughing and being so kind. Her presence brought such positive energy into the house that you just felt happier in her presence. And you could tell that she and Earl truly loved each other. They were always so patient, kind, and gentle towards each other. They were a model for any marriage, no wonder they were married for so long. Rest in peace Auntie Joyce. You will be greatly missed. And I pray that God can grant Uncle Earl comfort in the days ahead.
My husband and I were very saddened on hearing of the passing of my Aunt Joyce. Our memories of her are all happy ones. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. What I remember most about her was her sharp wit and her great sense of humour! She will be missed! Our sincere condolences to
Uncle Earl family and friends. Rest in peace Aunty Joyce

I always loved when Aunty Joyce and Uncle Earl would visit us as we were growing up, but it wasn't until I lived next to them at age 19 that I really got to know her. We soon became great friends. We would spend hours just chatting, she loved talking about politics and our conversations were never dull!
Aunty Joyce had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. She could be stubborn and feisty at times but that just made me love her more. She was a strong woman born in a generation when that was rarely appreciated. She was always there for me to encourage me and give me advice when I asked for it. She was never critical or judgemental. I always felt better after talking with her.
Aunty Joyce and Uncle Earl had a wonderful marriage. They loved each other deeply and it was apparent to all who knew them. Their respect and devotion toward one another set a great example of what a marriage should and could be.
Several years ago they moved to Nova Scotia and we never saw each other again but we always kept in touch. We could go months without talking on the phone, but when we spoke it was like we were never apart. I will miss those conversations, her sense of humor and just the sound of her voice.
Rest in peace Aunty Joyce. You will be missed more than you could know.
I have such fond memories of my aunt Joyce. When I was a teenager I would often sleep over at their house in Lasalle, Quebec so that uncle Earl and I could wake up early to go fishing together. We would sit and chat in the living room or watch tv the night before and when we returned from fishing would tell stories and chat on the back veranda. She was a wonderful woman who was funny and cheerful. She had quick whited humor and always made me laugh. I loved her very much.
